Onboarding MonitorConfigs to AurigaSentry

Background

For a efficient DRI process and experience for MSAI Data Fundamental DRI, AurigaSentry Montors are enabled for the onboarded MonitorConfig instances. So, we propose a process for selfserve onboarding the new MonitorConfigs (SLAMonitorConfigs, AvaialbilityMonitorConfigs) onto the enabled Monitors. About AurigaSentry, please check AurigaSentry.

Note : This process is specified for the MonitorConfigs onboared to these following monitors belong to MSAI Data Platform Fundamental DRI scope.

• BlueshiftJobSubmitSLAMonitor

How to Onboard a new MonitorConfig

Step 1：Register a new MonitorConfig

Register new MonitorConfig on the AurigaSentry Portal (Register SLAMonitorConfig / Register AvailabilityMonitorConfig).

For registration steps, please refer to: Register MonitorConfigs on AurigaSentry Portal

Note: It is recommended that you can use Save and Export function to generate the MonitorConfig json.

Step 2 : Upload MonitorConfigs instances to AurigaSentry Git Repository

1. After registration, you can Export from the Monitconfig List page (SLAMonitorConfig List /AvailabilityMonitorConfig List).

2. Create a new branch on AurigaSentry repository.

3. Upload the exported JSON configuration file in the corresponding folder under the Deployments folder in your private branch. (Sample Pull Request: Pull Request 3140872: OIVIC pipeline monitor)

   

Step 3 : Create a Pull Request

Commit a Pull Request to review if the new onboarded MonitorConfigs is valid.

When the Pull Request completes, the new MonitorConfig onborading is completed.
